CONFidence 2022: CAR-Hacking 2.0 Protocols and Connectors of Modern Cars - Thomas Fischer

Cars are getting more and more complex. This leads to large fresh challenges for hackers and for Developer. Cars are getting more and more like Computers on wheels. In my Talk I will give the Audience a tiny introduction into the Basics of the different car Protocols and Connections. I will show the possibilities Hackers have and the limits of the different kind of Protocols. Later we will see how to Access the BUS-Networks inside of the car and how to retrieve and inject Data onto the car Network. The Audience will get a introduction into the different Hacking and Diagnosis Devices available on the marketplace (and for Tinker and Hackers).
