Lets start with an issue – my series 5000 trimmer is not working. MG5720 is not working 1 more time.
Last time it was desoldered cable from the on-off switch. Lets check whats going on this time. Oh and there will be photos from teardrop down (disassembly) and then from reassembly. Lets Go!
What we need:
- Torx T6
- pliers
- round opener (guitar choice or sth like that)
- take top cover
- unscrew 2 T6 screws from the front
- take front cover
- take off the control and orange cover
- take full of inside pocket from the shield.
- you should hold it 1 hand on the rotor
- you should mildly press area under the control into inside to get it easier to move
- you should mildly press the power plug inside to get it move
- (yes you request 3 or 4 hands to do it proper)
small break here: you can now do fewer things without further disassembly:
- check your battery just utilizing AA battery and connecting it alongside with existing 1 to check if it is working on another AA -> if yes, you request to mildly take off old 1 and put there a fresh AArechargable (1.2V)
- if your connector is loose – you request to resolder it or just take wires outside and make your own connector utilizing for example XT60
and if it is inactive not working you request to be very careful in next move. mildly decision this white cover up (but not brake it from the heated points of mount, and utilizing pliers get this tiny part distant -> after that you can open it further and get acces to switch, motor and cables.
Oh and if you request any more photos – you can easy find my email so i can just post it here
