Service Mesh is becoming a key component in Cloud Native world. It allows teams to connect, safe and observe complex microservices environment built on containers and container orchestration tools. But most Service Mesh tools are besides very complex and require quite a few engineer overhead to deploy and maintain. In this talk, we will research the considerations you gotta take into account before you commit to a Service Mesh-based stack. I had the chance to aid customers plan around Istio (one of the most celebrated Mesh tools) and learned a lot through the years. This talk is simply a distilled experience of the learnings I had.
